Right, now, as we know there are only a few mods running this community, and, you know, it's a very large community.

SO, here's the thing, recently I've been working flat out, and some things have been sent to me and other officials that just haven't been dealt with. So, I'm screening comments on this post and I want you guys to bring ANY issue, anything I've said I'll get back to you on, anything. Anything that needs updating (links, userinfos) any problems that haven't been dealt with, anything! Seriously anything I need to deal with, or could deal with.

Come one, come all, anything you need a mod to deal with, come here!

(this is just in the wake of the new system and the recent upheaval as it were)

Geek Out 2: Return of the Totals

This time, I've gone back over the totals (including the friendslocked ones that I couldn't previously see, hence my difficulty with Term V), and covered the monthly points.

I'd planned to include details relevant to the number of active members as available in points breakdowns but I've only got these for the last few months and it's probably going to take me a while (manually counting and cross-referencing names so people don't get counted twice) to put that together. So, there will be one more post on this subject looking at how many people it took to achieve the points and then seeing who'd be winning if it was done on percentages.

If anyone wants to see all the points posts I used, they're now all tagged under 'Points'.

Whilst I was waiting to be reapproved (I'm still Slytherin!) having been awol, I was reading through all (all the unlocked ones anyway) the old posts and decided to be incredibly sad and put together a table of House Points since the very first term. Thus I present you with:

The Terms marked with a * are the ones I wasn't certain I'd got the right numbers for as the end of term tally wasn't marked as such so if anyone knows better, feel free to let me know and I'll update the table. For people who find this kind of stuff as interesting as I apparently do, I included an average number of points per term.

Looks like we Slytherins have got some catching up to do!

Okay.. as there has been confusion and aggravation over our new Knuts-to-Points system, let's clarify and poll, shall we? :)

Technically, it is "Buying Points". But you earn your knuts just the same as you earn your points, and they are even harder to earn. Limited activities offer knuts as incentive, while nearly all of our activities offer points. We felt this was a good alternative for those that had knuts simply sitting in the vaults going to waste -- it was an option offered to convert those EARNED knuts into EARNED points. It isn't as though we have Draco Malfoys that come standard with a vautl full of knuts. ;) Everyone has the same opportunity to convert their knuts, it is not unfair in any way whatsoever. It isn't canon, no -- but this is a Live Journal community. It also isn't canon for your peers to sort you.

But, as it is, having explained this fully, you have the final say.

Would anyone be interested in a sort of Hogwarts Writers' Corner that tied in with the HiH community? That is, it could be a sort of HP fanfic challenge type of community, maybe even a contest of some sort. Points could be awarded for participation/winning and all that jazz.

Comments, opinions? Just an idea that popped into my head, so I thought I'd throw it out there. <3
