Hey guys,

Now this is really getting quite stupid. It's one person, it's one post. I don't care what you all think it represents, just, get over yourselves.

People should vote how they see the post, and they can vote whatever the hell they want (depending on the rules, for example, and I'd like to remind you all here of what exactly the votes are:

Use the Muggle vote if -- AND ONLY IF -- you feel the applicant is pushing for a specific house. If you don't feel comfortable voting for someone because the application is too short, or because you cannot confidently place the applicant in a specific house, this warrants a No Vote.

4. Do NOT use Muggle Votes or No Votes for any other reasons! Do not 'No Vote' for grammatical errors or incorrect coding. Do not 'No Vote' for House-Bashing either - that is what the Muggle vote is for. Read, vote.

If you honestly think she deserves one of those, then go ahead, you think she should be Claw or Puff or whatever? Go for it. As long as it's what you think. Don't let yourselves get pressured.

If you're worried about the votes being unscreened, don't. We're going to keep them screened and we're going to give your prefects just a list of who voted.

Now, if you'd like to tell me about someone trying to get you to vote a certain way by pm-ing you? You come tell me. Comments to this are screened and will be handled with the utmost confidence.

So yes, thank you all! After the lovely quiet period we've just had, lets all be sensible, it's one application. Seriously.

Hello All,

Sorry for the ambush, but i've been moved to make a post for those that may not already know; One of the applicants over at platform934 has made edits to her app, following multiple no votes. I'd normally just leave it up to the mods to announce, or for people to stumble over it by chance, but it's so very rare to see an adequate elaboration; She's put so much effort into this. She deserves to lose all those no votes and get sorted this week!

If you didnt already know, or you missed a modly post telling you as much, please go back and modify your vote for this girl - she really deserves it.

Yes, I understand the difference between "affectionate snark", "sarcasm", and "rudeness". Some of you are crossing the line between "rudeness" and "sarcasm". It needs to stop, or I'll be talking with the mods about taking House points.

Thank you very much to the people who pointed this out to me. I'm going to keep a much closer eye on this in the future.

I'm going home for the weekend, to see my family, hang out with my friends, wash my clothes without going broke, etc. And I just wanted to let y'all know the sorting may be done a little later than usual. My computer in my dorm room is easily 5 times faster than the one at home, and I need the speed *resists the urge to make Top Gun jokes* to get the applications sorted and stamped as quickly as possible. I'll probably start around 7 p.m. CST, hopefully not TOO much later than that. Just thought you all should know-last time I did it later no one got any advance warning, I thought it was only fair this time. See y'all Sunday!

Hey guys! As you may or may not know, I'm Liz, the new Voting Mod. I just wanted to say thank you to you guys for being SO patient with me while I try to get into the groove of approving/making house comments for/stamping apps. I will implement batches after I stamp the apps that are currently up-there are 5, I think. Once again, thank you SO much for being supportive!

And the convo in the post below this one made my life. I'm gonna be giggling randomly at work all night. Thank you! :D

The last four applications for this week have been pushed through at

hh_stamping -- be sure to have a look and remember that voting there earns points just the same as

platform_934! Also, bonuses will be awarded to perfect voters every week. Applications will be pushed through four at a time Friday-Sunday, with them being stamped on the following Thursday. On Mondays, discussion posts will go up where applicants can ask where some votes came from, discuss comments, etc.

hh_diagon is temporarily down for 'rennovations' -- you can take a look at the new wands in Ollivander's to get a good idea of what we're going to be offering! Some of the old items will have the option of being upgraded to the new items that we'll offer!

Lastly, we want to address an issue in voting.

Please read the newly redone user info at

platform_934; we've taken out the repeated rules that were listed here as well, and clarified the voting rules.

No Votes are not to be used for issues such tag problems or rule-breaking. Even if an applicant House-Bashes, you are to vote accordingly. Muggle Votes are not to be used for this either! Any and all rule-breaking and tag problems will simply result in their application not being stamped until the errors are fixed.

Please please please -- do not be the fiftieth person to respond to an application just to tell them that their cut-tag is messed up and you are 'No Voting' them. They will get the picture after the first one. If we see any more abuse of our voting system, you will be warned as a whole House. If it happens again, points will be deducted -- regardless as to whether or not the same person misued the vote. If you see a messed up tag somewhere and no one has replied, feel free to do so. If it's already been done, leave it alone!

So, just to put all that in a nutshell -- any No Votes or Muggle Votes being used improperly will result in warnings/point loss.

Okay, guys.

Bunny made an announcement the other day that characters were going to be being sorted.

alivekthnx is our first character sorting. Please don't no vote due to it being Boone. :)

It's really just for fun. It's being taken way too seriously.

Everyone gets points for sorting, we get fun things to play with, etc. etc.

AND this isn't the only character journal coming in. We have HP characters, as well as other fandoms. There's going to be people who don't know who so-and-so is -- it's no big deal. Really. FUN.
