Would anyone be interested in a sort of Hogwarts Writers' Corner that tied in with the HiH community? That is, it could be a sort of HP fanfic challenge type of community, maybe even a contest of some sort. Points could be awarded for participation/winning and all that jazz.

Comments, opinions? Just an idea that popped into my head, so I thought I'd throw it out there. <3

Actually, I had a similar idea in the ways of maybe a HiH RPG comm. Not quite sure how it would work, but I'd like to do it. I'm trying to work out how it would work for points and so on right now.

.....I really like the idea of an RPG community. Let me know how you start to pan that one out. ;)

I've been thinking about it pretty hard, trying to work out the rules. I'll certainly talk to you once it's at least sketched out more than I've got now.

Hmm.. We could definitely host fiction on our website, and have a community for our writers to share their work with each other, etc., but I'm not so sure about the contests. Juppy already does text contests in the main community, and I'd hate for any outside activities to interfere with it. Perhaps if people post their fics, we could award bonus points? :) --Bunny

I'm going to email you about this in just a sec. It seems everyone has really fallen in love with your idea. :)

Hehe, that's okay, I think that if the community does any challenges, they'll be just focused on more of shorter texts, not longer drabbles.

Er, nevermind? You don't have an email listed. Could you drop me a line at bunny.district@gmail.com and I'll get back to you? Thanks!

Definitely. :) I like that suggestion a lot. I'll direct Juppy to it.

Oh, thank you, Kath! This helps things along wonderfully. I've had a few ideas over the night that I'm going to share with [livejournal.com profile] luthiel. Hopefully I'll be contacting you again to ask for your help with one thing in particular. ^_^

Oh yes, definitely. I live for fic challenges. As long as there aren't any ridiculous restraints such as "no slash" because, well, I'm a slasher, though I have been known to write genfic (sssh don't tell).

An RPG or a writer's community-- both sound great to me!

That sounds like a good idea to me, it may even motivate me to write down some of the drabble ideas!
