The topic: Hagrid: A danger to the students or a loyal and trustworthy teacher?

As a teenager, I know that something like rebellion needs to be supressed in times that can be mortal. Any student with a decent amount of respect for themselves, their peers, and their teacher can see that any magical animal can be dangerous; my own dog could probably kill me if it tried to, but if you treat most dogs with respect, they aren't going to go for your throat. Students chose to work with what could be dangerous creatures. The students, therefore, should be able to handle themselves in a manner that prevents both themselves and others from being put in a dangerous situation by simply listening to directions.
