Hogwarts Battle - A new HiH Affiliate!

Since I haven't done this yet, I thought I should (I'm allowed to post this here, right?)!

hogwarts_battle is a brand-new Harry Potter battle-style LIMS icontest community run by myself (Ravenclaw) and spiralsword (Hufflepuff) that has the honor of being affiliated with hogwartsishome... which means that by participating, you will be earning points for your house and knuts for yourself!

If you aren't familiar with battle-style, it means that you will be picking a character at the beginning of the round... and this character will be representing you throughout the round... and you will only make icons of that character. It's completely anonymous throughout the entire round, too... so you'll find out who everyone is at the very end, and points will be awarded at that time. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask me here or at the F.A.Q. linked from the community's sidebar.

We're signing up for Round #001 right now! Be sure to sign up, promote for extra skips, and be on the look-out for the Registration post, which is where you will be claiming your characters! It'll be up pretty soon, so get to it!

P.S. You will also earn points for VOTING, so even if you're not an icon-maker, you can still earn points for your house by participating!

Bringing the fun, Y/Y?

It's the start of a brand spankin' new term, and timecarnival and I have come to the conclusion that morale is a little low. We have decided that everyone needs to be reminded of how much fun we can have here. This was the result of this decision.

Geek Out 2: Return of the Totals

This time, I've gone back over the totals (including the friendslocked ones that I couldn't previously see, hence my difficulty with Term V), and covered the monthly points.

I'd planned to include details relevant to the number of active members as available in points breakdowns but I've only got these for the last few months and it's probably going to take me a while (manually counting and cross-referencing names so people don't get counted twice) to put that together. So, there will be one more post on this subject looking at how many people it took to achieve the points and then seeing who'd be winning if it was done on percentages.

If anyone wants to see all the points posts I used, they're now all tagged under 'Points'.
