Hello, everyone! Who's still in the giving spirit? More importantly, who's still in the receiving spirit? Let's have one more House Unity activity on my watch ('cause I just can't let you go!) What shall we have, you ask?

I hope you like this - I literally just sat down and wrote this, so it's not the most polished thing ever. Sirius/Remus - enjoy! ^^

Sirius loves Lily, of course he does; she's smart, funny, beautiful, the love of James' young life - oh yes, yes, he adores her, they're great friends, she positively delightful.

Sirius lets out a breath of disgust as James feeds the girl in question another piece of gingerbread. She wrinkles her nose and peers at James cutely as he lets his fingertip linger a moment too long on her lips. "She looks like a squirrel."

Remus, standing beside him, rolls his eyes. "You're jealous."

"No - I'm not jealous!" Sirius says defensively, pouting a little. "She does, just look at her. Just look at those... beady eyes, that... silly... you know, nose."

"Hmm." Remus seems unconvinced, and takes another sip of his drink to alleviate the pressure of responding.

Sirius had wanted commisseration, but he quickly realizes Remus is in no mood to give it. So he sighs and sips moodily on his fruity Christmas cocktail. He is on his way to being quite drunk, but that is doing nothing to improve his mood.

"Stop whining," Remus tells him, cuffing him lightly on the back on the head.

Sirius glares at him, but Remus looks away, an innocent expression on his face. "You're not helping, you know."

"Oh, aren't I?"

"No." Sirius sets his cup down and crosses his arms, still staring fixedly at James and Lily. "She took him away from us," he said. "Don't you care?"

"I'm happy for them," Remus says, shrugging. He nudges Sirius with his hip. "You should be happy for them."

"No." He shakes his head petulantly.

"No?" Remus nudges him again. "It's what James would want, you know. I was never as close to James as you were - for me, him being with Lily is just like him being with you."

"Well I..." Sirius frowns and looks at Remus. Remus is not trying to make him feel guilty, he knows, but he's doing a rather good job of it anyway. "So I'm all you've got now?"

Remus raises one eyebrow. "I suppose so."

Sirius grabs Remus and plants a sloppy kiss on his cheek. "You can't leave me, Moony. Promise."

"Padfoot..."

Sirius ignores him, nuzzling mindlessly into the crook of his neck.

"Fine." Remus smiles just slightly and rubs the back of Sirius' neck. "I'm not going to leave."
