Date: 2009-10-18 10:48 pm (UTC)Basically it's a way for users of a system (and testers) to report any problems they have with the system .
For example, people aren't currently getting any emails, this has been raised and now other people can come along, look and see that this has already been brought to my attention and what I'm doing with it.
New features can also be raised as bugs, and then other members can vote on them and things with more votes/a higher priority tend to get fixed/implemented first.
I'm also aiming to use it to keep track of any issues we might be having here in the LJ communities, for example, out of date userinfos and FAQs.
The idea is instead of crap sitting in inboxes it's now in one central location where everyone can view the progress and remind people about them :)
Does that at all make sense?

Date: 2009-10-18 10:53 pm (UTC)Even if it's just people reporting them to me and I put them into bugzilla, it's still a lot easier than half scrawled notes in drafts of emails and on the back of envelopes! :D
