OFFICIAL Dragon*Con Hogwarts Is Home Meetup Information!

If you are attending (or will be in the area just to meet people), you might want to read the following!

HIH will be having a meetup at DragonCon. Unless someone argues with my authority which is nill, but since I don't have a lot to work on here, I am going to be setting a time and day based on the schedules I currently have of the convention. As such, we already know that not everyone can attend on Friday, given that many of us work. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all have various Harry Potter meetups which many of us may be attending. There is also the Yule Ball on Sunday, which will likely be very crazy. In my opinion, we should have our meetup on Saturday or Sunday, shortly before or after one of the official Harry Potter photoshoots/events.

As I see it, we have two options if we want to have a one hour meetup.

6:30 pm Saturday evening (Marriott lobby or 10th floor)

or

3:00 pm Sunday afternoon (Marriott lobby or 10th floor)

Given how late the Saturday meetup is, I don't feel that it would be wise to schedule after the photoshoot. Given the fact that the Yule Ball starts shortly after the Sunday photoshoot, meeting afterwards is basically out of the question as nobody wants to miss the Ball. <3

As far as I am aware, these times do not conflict with anything MAJOR (unless you plan on attending the Saturday D*Con Awards Banquet, which few people generally attend to my knowledge--I could be wrong). Personally, I think I would prefer Sunday, but I figure I can put this out here. If nobody objects, we'll go for Sunday. If not, we'll see what day is more popular.

Hmmmm either one is okay with me but I think I'd rather do it Sunday. Mainly because I'll be driving at least 2 hours (and that's just on the interstate, it's more in the city) and that's gonna be kinda late on Saturday.

So that's my two cents and as I'm not actually GOING to the con. XD Whatever's cool :)

Yea, I tried to work with that in mind (people driving home if they aren't staying, and non-con-attendies). I think Sunday will the best overall so I'm hoping others will agree.

I think Sunday sounds good. My panel definitely won't run that late, and I don't see anything else that I want to be at right then.

Where did you find the information about Harry Potter meet ups, though? I've never heard of those, and I think I'd probably enjoy them.

No one has said anything one way or another yet, so I hadn't set something in stone. I have recommended the Marriott, either Lobby or Tenth Floor. Honestly, I think the Tenth Floor will probably be less crowded, as it will at this particular hour on Sunday be cleared save for early-arrivals like ourselves for the Harry Potter photoshoot. At least, that is my belief.

Clue 5. Congrats you found the clue but Scrimgeour heard you coming so he headed to the Department of Magical Transportation. It turns out back in early 2007 an HiH Mod took the train and left Hogwartsishome.
