First, I want to thank all of you for your participation so far this weekend! This debate is turning out pretty awesome, and some people are just.. tearin' it up. Way to go, guys and gals. :) I'm glad to see that you all are getting into it!

Buuuut.. we've got a couple of things that we need to keep in mind:

1. Please please pleaaaase make sure that you are putting your name and house at the bottom of each post. I am -not- counting your comment if you don't. If you forget it, just delete the entire comment and repost it. I'm screening and counting each and every comment as it appears in my inbox, so if I get one without a name, it's deleted from my inbox.. even if seconds later I get a comment on that particular comment that only says a name and house. I know it may be annoying, but it's helping to make sure that everyone gets the correct amount of points.

2. Please also make sure that you're arguing on the right side. We've had more than one person arguing the Master instead of Disaster or vice versa. Your points were excellent, but they didn't count.

3. Prefects, please make sure that your house is reminded of today! We always have limited participation from Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and while I'm not saying that they aren't coming in because of the Prefects.. it would be nice if you guys could do me a favor and harp a bit. ;)

Other than that.. let me know if any of you have questions! Thanks!

~ Melinda

Already harped :) I think the problem with ravenclaw is that we tend to be college students and therefore very busy with studying and the like. It's hard to find time to do stuff sometimes when you're buried under a mountain of homework.

Or, y'know, high school students who procrastinate and then end up having to read an entire book over a weekend and write a paper on it. Not that I would ever do anything like that. *shifty eyes* Oh no, never.

*LOL* Yes, and I think many a Slytherin is too busy with jobs and their off-line socialising!

My house has already gotten several pokes. :)

Out of curiosity, when someone has their argument refuted and then reposts the same argument as a response, does that count for points? I've never understood the finer aspects of debating.
