Activity Name: What is House Unity to you?
Start Date: Wednesday, October 15th
End Date: Wednesday, October 22nd

Description: What is House Unity to you? You can express it in anyway that you want.
Some ideas:
Write: a story, drabble, poem, song
Graphics: draw, make a sigtag, make some icons
Basically, anyway that you can express House Unity at Hogwarts is Home. All I ask is to keep everything PG-13 and no voice posts. Other then that be as creative as you want.

Because there is contention
There will always be tension
But that doesn't stop us from
Remembering the rule of thumb:
Don't judge a book by its cover,
as an enemy might be a lover
Remember Unity at Hogwarts
is of great importance
First judgements aren't always right,
and they lead to drama and fights.
So keep your mind open and you just might be wrong.

Date: 2008-10-16 12:43 am (UTC)The Headmistress was turning the corner when she saw the young Ravenclaw fall down the stairs, unable to see past his armload of books. Before she could act, a passing Slytherin stopped and helped him gather the scattered books. Smiling at the young boy, the Slytherin girl ruffled his hair and continued up the stairs. The Headmistress eyes followed her only to see a pot of ink she had in her bag tumble out and shatter on the floor. Again she tried to help, but before she could move more then a few steps, a Hufflepuff had stopped and vanished the ink and was now handing the girl a pot of ink from his own bag. The boy smiled and continued down the hallway only to slip in a puddle of water an open window had created. A tall Gryffindor bent over and held a hand out to the Hufflepuff, a smile on her face. After a few questions, the two parted and the Headmistress smiled to herself and continued to the staff meeting, thoughts of House Unity flitting through her head.

Date: 2008-10-20 07:17 am (UTC)The representatives from each houses started getting ready for it. Some receiving pats on their shoulders, some getting free goodies from their own housemates.
The horn went, and they started running. It was quite some race, covering about 1km. After running for quite some time, the Slytherin representative heard nothing but the rustling of leaves around him. Terrified, he turned and found the Gryffindor representative on the ground, clutching his grazed knee. He turned again and saw the finishing line in just a few more metres away. After struggling with himself for sometime, he turned and dashed towards the Gryffindor representative. He was about to make way to the finishing line when the Gryffindor representative turned and dragged him along to the Hufflepuff girl who was nursing her ankle. The Gryffindor reached out his free hand, as his another hand was on Slytherin's waist for support, and the Hufflepuff reached out and grabbed his hand. Once she was back on her feet, however, she dragged those two boys back again to the oak tree, where Ravenclaw was rubbing her forehead. She saw them approached and stood up and placed her hand on Hufflepuff to support her.
Together, all four representatives made their way to the finishing line, with Ravenclaw and Slytherin at the side and Hufflepuff and Gryffindor in the middle, like how the four founders could have done so, in the sprirt of house unity.
