No offense, but I was reading through it to refresh myself on rules before participating in the comms again, and they're REALLY HARD TO READ cos there's so much stuff. Could I redesign the userinfo... please?

You'd have to have mod abilities to redesign it, so I'm afraid not. But I'd love details on what you find confusing so that we can fix it.

Well it's just a lot of text and a lot of small text and it's kind of hard to sort through for all the information. I could redesign it and test it on my own LJ and then send you a text of the codes?

Have you tried going through the FAQ? :) That's the easiest place to sift through the in's and out's. I'd be more than willing to see an example, though.

I was thinking something like this in smaller font and two columns instead of one.

It looks the same as our rules, except there's less stuff and graphics to seperate the categories. I'm afraid it'd be completely pointless to take anything out of our info, and putting in graphics would only distract and take up loading time.

Perhaps a larger font for the titles of the categories?

And I'm not sure I completely understand the two columns thing... As in a newspaper type style?

Yeah. I think bigger fonts would help, and the column thing can be easily done with tables with set pixels, and also the way everything is centered is also disorienting.

And also visually design wise it'd be easier on the eyes if there was some sort of different header---even just text in different color and big bold letters---between sections, and the columns were smaller (ergo, less words per line to concentrate on).

I think at the moment it's the centered thing that's the most disorienting for me. Dunno why.

I can understand the centering -- I've got to modify bits of the info Monday anyway so I'll fix what I can then. :) I'll have our designer look into creating some sort of matching header to top it off. Thanks for the input!

I have to agree with the centering. Every time I have to try and look something up, it's more difficult than it needs to be. It's hard to find the right line you need to be reading when each line starts in a different place.

I agree that it's a bit visually taxing. It's tough to sift through for information.

I think just having specific headers for different information, in a larger font or something would help immensely.
