ee, I like the background images in the all the header boxes! I can't do that, I can never work out which is the corresponding bit in the CSS to assign properties to, and end up all muddled :( *is useless*

I am having scrolling issues with big images, though - The Daily Prophet (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwartsishome/530679.html?#cutid1) gets half cut off in my browser. Maybe non-customised comment pages? Could just be my browser though, I'm using Flock.

I'm having the same issues, and I'm using Internet Explorer. I don't even get scrolling boxes; I just can't see the right side of the image.

I sorted that, sorry, I'd stopped it horizontal scrolling cause the comment view was a bit messed up, oh well, it now will always have one in this view :(

Participation seems to have gradually increased as the term went on. I guess people were just really busy with the school year finishing off. Maybe next term there will be a better turn out, until then, we have a very lovely layout to enjoy.

I actulaly liked BOTH of the entries so much that I had a hard time voting. I tend to like darker layouts but the other layout by destinyfroste looked very elegant with the parchment-type wallpaper and I really liked the "mood" of that layout too. It was the lovely moonlit Hogwarts in the header and the star icons by our usernames (oh okay, and the witty rambling text in the entry box) that won me over in the end though.
