I would really like the ability to remove members. We have people leave occasionally, and we just did a huge roster cleanup. I think it'd be nice to remove old members.

Hey,

There's no remove function because I need all members to stay on the system until the end of term. The System loops through the member list to find out who competed in what challenges, when someone is removed from the system their data about what challenges they took part in stays on the system, but it won't be printed out ever again because only current members are used.

I'm hesitant to build in a function that removes all members although I'm thinking I might add a function that allows prefects to mark a member as 'left' but not delete them from the system, we'll see. It might take a fair bit of implementing.

However, what about members who were removed at the end of term? That's our predicament.

I don't know. I'm definitely not hip to these kinds of systems.

That "left" function would be pretty awesome, but I'm not sure how incredibly difficult that would be to put into place.

I forgot to clear it off is the main problem :) I meant to compile an activity list and then let everyone have a few days to reply and then issue it to the comms, but never got around to it. Huh. I've got minimods now, I shall get one of them to do it! Whoop.

And as for the 'left' function, I'm not sure how much work it is, I'm thinking if someone is marked as 'left' they wouldn't appear in the member lists, but would for points purposes. Actually. That's very easy. I'd just have to change the code on each page concerned, so:

officials list
member list

Added in the functionality, had a think about it and realised without any bugs it was 30mins work, so now you can mark members as 'left' through the 'edit member' pages. Well, all rpefects can :)

Okay, I see that awesome function! It's telling me that the Sorting Date is wrong. Does this mean that I'll need to hunt down the application of every person just to say that they've left?

I'm sorry if I'm being a huge bother. I just like to make things neat and tidy and look for the best way to do so.

It's fine, and yeah, I think you'll need to enter both, just 0000-00-00 should be ok, if it's not just enter 2008-01-01 for both, it's the date the system was created :)

How about a log-in cookie that keeps you logged-in on your PC for two weeks or something. It's a bit inconvenient (at least for me) to log in every time I access the site.

It bugs me too, but cookies confuse me, so maybe, but it'd need a lot of change throughout the site to implement it, but it would be nice :)

I'm not entirely sure this is the place to post this but I'm having trouble with submitting points for the astronomy activity. It is listing one member 3 times...I see she's in the drop-down menu thrice, as well. Not sure what to do about that, not a HUGE deal but I just wanted you aware.

I think it'd be cool to have some sort of stats page when you log in. Like how many members of your house, how many points you personally earned last month, what comms/clubs you're a member of, house points for the last term and this term so far. Not sure if anyone else is interested or if it'd be loads of work, I just think it'd be cool to see stats. I like stats. <3

Oh! And, is it possible to either seperate or organize the student list by member house as well? XD I'm done now!

Ah, it looks like someone added the member to the system 3 time. I'll go delete the other two.

Activity History was supposed to be a stats page, theoretically they're not that hard, just displaying the result of one good query, I just can't decide what.

And I'll see about the student list, it's all about trying to find time for which bits. I'm not sure what people would prefer and usually taking the time to figure out which one takes time away from developing them. Ah well!!

It would be really great to be able to delete and/or edit an activity that has been submitted for approval before it's approved.

The last time I submitted activities, I forgot to change the points drop down box from the default value for everything. I realized it immediately, but since I couldn't see or delete the activities, I had no way to fix it. So I had to wait for approval, delete them, resubmit them correctly, and wait for approval again. If we could see and delete/edit our activity submissions, we could verify everything was correct, correct/resubmit if necessary, and not waste your time approving errors.
