OMG! HBP is only going to have 672 pages!!!! ACK! So short. I could finish it in two days! :'( its so sad, I though it was going to be like when she said OOTP was going to be shorter then GoF but then it was longer.

672, eh? I think I can finish that in under twelve hours.

I started book five at about nine in the morning and finished it at eleven thirty. Of course, because of that I barely remember the end, so I'll likely end up rereading it later this year.

I'm sad that it's so short (haha, we're calling 672 pages short), but I suppose if the next books got any longer than OotP it would be getting a bit ridiculous.

Still, though...

I would too... maybe book 7 will be over 1000 pages?!

Haha, I would love that.

We have to think of the poor people carrying those books, JKR might get sued for causing all the mailmen delivering the books from Amazon to get hernias...

672, eh? Good, that's plenty of time for me to read and re-read before I have to give it to one of my siblings. Hmm...midnightish I get my copy, means it's done by three, then re-read before turning it over to Judi at eight.

Haha, I finished GoF and OotP both the same day they caame out, before dinner time even. Maybe midway thru the afternoon. Then I reread them the next day. I'm a... *music plays* supernerd! lol.

I do wish it would be much longer! I wouldn't mind if it was 2000 pages, as long as it was 2000 GOOD pages.

OK, I got home with my copy of OotP around 1:00, and I had it finished before my mom woke up around 7:00 that day. Hopefully, I can be in bed by 4:00 after HBP. I can't wait.

Heh, I'm probably one of the few people who's happy that it's shorter than OotP. I'm sorry, but 800+ pages for what is, basically, a children's/young adult book seems a bit excessive to me. My friends thought I was nuts when I said that I didn't care about trying to figure out all the stuff that's going to happen in HBP, I just wanted to know how long it's going to be. Thanks! You've made my day :)

Actually, it took me about two days to read OotP. I picked it up first thing when I got into Costco, then went and started reading it while my mom did all her shopping. She had to guide me around the store. ...of course it might have taken me a bit longer to finish reading because I was reading an epic fanfic at the same time...

*scrambles* You've just reminded me I need to pre-order my copy! *runs away screaming "Why did I leave it so late?!"*

Except that I can't actually be bothered to get up, and go to a bookshop, and pre-order. So I'll do it when I'm already out. Some day. If I remember...

OotP is 870, so that's almost 200 pages less. I think it took me about seven hours to read OotP, but I read fast, so I'm placing my bets on four hours for this one.

That's still four hours' worth of procrastination from whatever else I should be doing! :)

For real, how do you guys read an entire book in a few hours?

Im way too ADD to try to sit and finish a whole book in one sitting. I see something shiney and go running off in its direction....dang it. Eh well, extends the pleasure....er something..hehehe...

I'm like that, but I have a few obsessions that no one can get me away from until I'm good and ready - and even then, I'll be grumpy about it. When I'm involved in one of those, I can forget everything. I do mean that literally. My mother suggested I wear Depends for my OotP binge for good reason....
