PROPHET-LIKE ANNOUNCEMENT OF GOODNESS

The first edition of The Daily Prophet will be posted on WEDNESDAY, May 9th. If you have anything you'd like included (links to sorting logs, contests currently going on - I will be checking hh_clubs tomorrow afternoon, special announcements, HP news, etc etc.) please feel free to submit them here! :)

This edition will also have sign ups for the Prophet staff - a group of 5-10 people to help find out various bits of information. :D So keep an eye out for that.

Erm...That's about it. :D The Prophet this term will be weekly on Wednesdays.

If you have any questions//suggestions, please feel free to leave them here. :) Other than that, I'm LE PUMPED about this term! :D :D :D :D *dances*

seeing as how i was the editor for my high school news paper and I was on my college news paper staff I am SUPER pumped about this and my eyes will be WIDE open for the Prophet staff post!

are you only going to include news from the hih community or also links for hp related stuff from all over lj?

i post the wednesday edition of the daily_snitch so looking for links is no problem.

Either//or. Anything HP related is fair game, IMO. If it's on the Web, it's in our paper. :D

hmm. posting all the links found just in the fandom once a week means you are going to have a ton of links. and by the time wednesday rolls around a lot of them are going to be old news.

i think ill be applying come wednesday. you may want to think about posting twice a week though. maybe wednesday and sunday just so the newsletter wouldnt consist of so many links.

It won't be EVERY link in the fandom, just the ones we think are fun. :D The Prophet isn't big enough or important enough to require all the links, but I'd like to do maybe 10 or so links to fun things happening around town. Other communities people might be interested in, memes, etc. We don't have to get hardcore with it. :) I'll probably have everyone e-mail me on Tuesday things they want to include in that week's DP so we can keep things as current as possible. :D

no, that is a good idea to only have links be things that people in the community want to see/are interested in because chances are someone else here may be interested in it as well.

Maybe could you add a bit on:
hih_insomniacs having an allnighter chat on May 15th starting at 12am EST. There will be live chats on AIM and Y! Messenger and a thread with some things to do. Come one, Come all!
