Attention all HiH Members!

Do I have your attention now? Yes? No? I hope so! Here's the thing... our communities are quite large, that's pretty obvious. What may not be so obvious to all of you is the fact that there are quite a few people in the community that are not active. At all. They don't sort, they don't chat, they don't play, they're just part of the community. We have a rule around here that if you aren't active for three to four months and you don't let us know by putting a Hiatus banner in your userinfo, you'll be removed from the community. Yup, it's a rule. It's been a while since this has been done, and the Slytherin house reminded me that it needed to be done. I'm going to not ask the prefects to do all of the work this time. I want your help. This is what I need you to do.

1) Go check this list: Active. If you name is NOT on that list but you want to be part of the community still, you need to let me know. You'll notice that there are three groupings. The blue (top) are people that have been active very recently (in March). Orange are folks that participated in February but not March. Pink are people that were last seen in January. (No, April is not included just yet, which is why I want you to check the list yourself.) Also, if you've been newly sorted, your name won't likely be on the list either. Go on and comment to me here so I'll know that you have actually joined and want to be here.

2) If you're hiatusing and you do'nt have a banner in your info, you need to put one there. Banners can be found here. Thanks to the recent contest, there are several to choose from.

3) If you see that one of your friends is not on the list but you know they don't want to be removed from the community, contact them. I need them to tell me that they want to stay. I know you want your friends around, but I don't want to take everyone else's word that so and so wants to stay. I need to know from them. If there are extenuating circumstances and they can't reply or email me, then I'll take the word of a friend. If I'm getting 20 comments saying 'so and so wants to stay' I may revoke that ability. Please use it only if necessary.

4) A few folks from each house to volunteer to help check the profiles of people once we're done making a list. We should check to make sure someone isn't on hiatus before we remove them. That list will be smaller once this one is updated, but I'd still appreciate a little help getting it checked out. If you're interested, please comment.

I'm only giving a week for you guys to reply. That's it. If you're removed and you didn't want to be, you can always come back and let me know and you'll be readded. I want the community cleaned up before the beginning of next term, and that's in, what, 10 days?

I'm doing separate comments for each house. Please reply to that comment. And, no offense, I know you guys love to chatter, but if you could maybe NOT chatter in this post so I don't have to sort through everything to find the names, that'd be great. Look, I'll even put up a 'chatter' post for you. :D
