Good morning HIH-er's!! *hears an echo* *notices tumbleweed blow across main comm*

Okay, so, we haven't had a whole lot of "fun and/or exciting" activities in this place in awhile that have no bearing on points. So, it is time for some. And we shall start with a story...



A long, long time ago.....wait, wrong story. Okay, about a month or so ago, I, being the Gryff Co-Prefect, noticed that our gryffs didnt have a whole lot to do with each other besides gaining points and the occasional squee over something HP-ish. So, I decided that following in the footsteps of the much loved Friday-Five, I would start a short questionaire about the innerworkings of each of our lions. It grew into quite a sensation, so much so that I am now bringing my crazy, random questions to everyone here at HIH, and hope that y'all will have as much fun with this as we lions do.

Rules of the Boley 5-Thousand
1.) Fill out questionaire honestly and thought provokingly...put some of your real attitude in it, we want to find out more about you!! Comment to this entry with your answers! :-)
2.) Actually read other people's entries. This isn't much fun when you just post your answers and expect everyone to be in awe of their amazingness without checking out everyone else.

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would definitely have to be able to fly. That would just be pretty dang useful, and so much fun to boot!!

2.) OMG! Its raining candy bars! What kind are they? Mmm...BabyRuths... I love those darn candy bars, even if they are not so much a part of the self-imposed non-eating of certain foods (I think commonly referred to as a "diet")

3.) What is the strangest food you've ever consumed? Mmm..Gator Bites, probably. I got them on my spring break the year I turned 21 when we went to Florida. Sadly enough, I puked them back up after a few too many daquiris. XD

5.) Tell me a story about chinese food. I have a friend that is allergic to mushrooms, and accidently consumed some when we went out to the Chinese buffett. He ended up puking going across the road on the walk home. There was also the time that a bunch of my co-workers and myself spent about an hour straight opening fortune cookies. Im surprised we didnt get tossed out more often..haha.

What was the X-woman person that could change into anyone or anything? She was like Magneto's right hand woman in the third one, up until she lost her abilities..hehe. I cant think of her name though...she'd be pretty bad ass to be.

Warning: I talk alot. The beginning of the answer is the real answer. Everything that follows is just my lame reasoning as to why so you can go ahead and skip over all of that. Plus, it's too long for one post, anyway. XD

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I want 'supa' running powers (like Dash XD) because, let me tell you, I'm pretty fit and I'm a soccer player on the Varsity team at my school and yet my three year old brother has me panting and gasping for breath after 15 minutes at the park and I never seem to be able to catch him even after all the hard work it takes to run! And, most of the time, he ends up down by the lake nears the ducks and I have to just give up cause there's no way I'm going anywhere near those evil little things. Nu-uh. No way. Just no.

So, yeah, running powers, please. [: I'd catch him and be able to just keep him right in the playground area. It'd make my life so much more pleasant seeing as we're do there almost everyday.

2.) OMG! Its raining candy bars! What kind are they?
Hershey's with Almonds. My aunt has a stork delivery company (they put this 8 foot stork in your yard with a baby bundle that has all of your newborn babies information on it for a week, basically) that also does baby shower gifts like water bottles with custom wrappers and such. Well, she does candy bar wrappers, too and if you have a boy, you usually get the Hershey's with Almonds because they have “nuts”. How crude is that? ...Okay, so crude or not I laugh everytime. Haha. Anyone, it was practically raining candy bars when my mom had her baby shower for my little brother. Oh, I haven't been so happy that he is a boy, since. XD

Yeah, I talk about my brother alot. He's my best bud.

3.) What is the strangest food you've ever consumed?
My Aunt's meatloaf. >_>

...If you could consider that meatloaf. It reminded me more of a brick made of meat with too much onion and not nearly enough ketchup. Let's put it this way: I hate ketchup and still covered the brick with it so that I would be able to last through two or three bites to claim being full. [:

Warning to all: If it looks like a brick of meat, it probably tastes like it, too.

Date: ...Hagrid, I guess. He's nice and caring. I guess I can get over the idea of him falling over and accidentally making me a pancake.

Date: ...I can't decide. Narcissa probably wouldn't take and I wouldn't feel like walking on egg-shells when around her yet, the idea of “do”-ing McGonagall is just... OKAY! Date McGonagall it is! [: So, maybe it'd get complained at pretty often but that's just dandy so long as she keeps her clothes on while doing it! :D

5.) Tell me a story about chinese food.
So, there I was! Sitting outside of “Wok 'n Roll” (get it? WOK and ROLL? Rock and Roll? Yeah, I thought it was lame, too) with my mom and we're patiently waiting for my dad to call us back and tell us what he wants so that we can go in and order. It's late (like 9:30) it's cold (like 25 degrees) and my mom and I both have thyroid disease so we're freaking out in the car being impatient about him not calling 5 minutes before like he was supposed to.

10 more minutes pass, it's now 9:40 and we're still just chilling out in front of this “Wok 'n Roll” place. We've got the entire staff squinting at us through the windows and just waiting for us to move or something. Naturally, I'm getting a little antsy cause I hate people looking at me and my mom is getting mad cause she hates when people stare (though she throughly enjoys people looking at her. She's one of those gorgeous woman who knows she's gorgeous and likes to kinda WAVE IT AROUND if you didn't notice it at first glance. I'm sure you know the type) so our anger is heightening and we're still not getting the call.

Another 10 minutes, 9:50, and still no call. So, I reach in my purse, pull out my phone and dial the house number. It rings about 5 times before the answering machine picks up and my voice is ringing through my ears. Rather unpleasant experience, let me tell you. There's nothing worse than having to listen to me speak. XD No luck. So, we decide to wait.

10:00 shows up on the dashboard, the lady comes over to lock the door BUT not before she sticks her head out of it and stares us down a little more. My mom and I are too cold to move and the heat seemed to long since give way (Ugh. I begged for the Charger but nooooo we had to get the Altima cause it was the more intelligent decision for me) so we just kind of give up and we're getting ready to go home when my phone rings. I look down at the caller ID, see it's my dad and pick up. He asks why we're not home yet and why in the world she hasn't been answering her phone and then we realize: She left it at home and he's been calling it the whole time. Apparently, he left a message at 9:15 saying he was just going to have a cheeseburger cause he wasn't in the mood for Chinese food, afterall and my mom and I don't even like Chinese food. [:

I would totally fly. Or be invisible. OR BOTH. THAT WOULD EFFING RULE!!!! I've always wanted to fly. I very nearly joined the Air Force when I was a senior in high school, but chose to go to college instead (in retrospect, I should've joined the military...). I'd want to be invisible so I could be sneaky sneaky. >.>

SNICKERS. Mini-Snickers so I can eat like, 10 of them and not feel as bad about it as I would if I'd had 10 REGULAR sized Snickers. :D

Ugh, Vegemite. Plz to not be eating THAT ever again. The Australian peanut butter?? I THINK NOT. Maybe because I'm a preconditioned American lover o' the peanuts, but srsly. That was disgusting.

LOL - okay, for Christmas this year, my parent's took me and my sisters (and my boyfriend, Jay) to Yen Ching, a local Chinese restaurant, for our post-x-mas dinner. It was delicious and much fun was had. A few days later, someone said something about "oh the Chinese was soooo good," to which I replied, "What Chinese?" *crickets* LOLZ Yeah. I'm a doofus. *facepalm* My family STILL randomly has "Jackie moments" when they follow up a stupid moment with "What Chinese?" Gah.

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Well. I'd be able to control something, perhaps water. Water is a powerful stuff in large amounts and I think it'd be sweet to be able to make it do what you want.

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I'm so unoriginal! I want to FLY oh so badly. I'm applying to the Air Force and Naval Academies in the fall, and I want to go there being PQ (pilot qualified). I've applied to both Summer Seminars and so far, AFA has rejected me, and Navy is making me wait. Anyway, I wouldn't just want to fly, I'd want to be fast and invisible...be stealth like, you know? That. would be amazing!

it's actually about a fortune cookie.
so, my friend and I go hiking every other Sunday, right? and after, depending on the time, will either go to breakfast or lunch. It was still quite early, but we went to lunch anyway. We go to Pei Wei and order our food, our fortune cookies sitting there idly. When we open them, her's comes out: "you will find that you have a secret admirer" or something along those lines. (backstory) for awhile, she's had this...."infatuation" with a guy where she likes to go and play guitars...he asked her to be in a band and she was considering it. But, she didn't know whether she liked him or not. He would text her at night and say hope you sleep well and such...it was cute. In my personal opinion...he did and still does like her.

I have no cool anecdotes.
So.
Once upon a time,in a greasy Chinese restaurant somewhere, there was a sad little cob of corn that really, really loved the soy sauce. But the soy sauce was having an affair with the chicken, and didn't even NOTICE the baby cob of corn. So the baby corn was really sad, but it went to the wise old fortune cookie to tell it the secrets of love and how to capture the elusive, spicy, dark and mysterious Soy Sauce. But the fortune cookie merely said "I'm sorry, the wisdom of the ages does not help in your case. Just tell Soy how you feel. The worst you'll get is splashed."
Taking the wise advice, the baby corn went to the soy sauce, lying near its bed of rice and other (disgusting) vegetables, along with the vile Chicken. The baby corn approached, trembling off its cob, and said, "Can I please go out with you, Mr. Soy Sauce? Love me, forever?"
But before the Soy Sauce had a chance to answer, the Evil Chopsticks descended and propelled them both into the mouth of a terrible customer.
And they lived in the digestive tract happily ever after.

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? All right, so I have one serious answer and one silly one. I would really, really love to be able to read people's minds. (Without their knowing, of course!) Yes, I know that's a dangerous wish; however, I'm terrible at 'reading' people in general. It stresses me out when I don't know what to say, do, or expect. So, I definately think that power would come in handy.

Okay, that was boring, now for the silly one! Right, so if I were a supervillain, I would have the power to shoot blood out of every pore all at once! It's completely harmless, but I definately think that it would be a worthy scare tactic. Obviously, there would have to be some provision that prevents me from bleeding to death when I do this. But, okay, just imagine it: you're fighting this chick, and she looks like a pushover. Honestly, she seems scared! However, the second you get within her range, she starts secreeting blood from her unmarred skin at an alarming rate. Jets of blood strike you, the walls, the ceiling, everything! You're freaked out and a little stunned for a moment, wondering if this is actually part of her weapon. You soon realize it's not. She's standing there, drenched in her own blood; you're armed, she's not.....

Okay, so that's utterly useless. I just think it would look uber-super-cool. Also, it would make a nice diversion if I were fighting with a partner.

Okay, so I'm sort of obsessed with soy sauce. One time I fixed myself some microwaveable ramen and poured half a bottle of soy sauce on it. No, literally half the bottle. There are witnesses! Then, I enjoyed every soy-soaked noodle.
(Yes, I know that microwaveable ramen doesn't exactly qualify as true Chinese food. Actually, I'm not certain if it could be qualified as food at all. *shrugs* But anyway....)

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would want to be able to read minds, but only when I want to. Not something where I can be just standing on the street & thousands of thoughts collide into my head. But where if I think someone's lying or whatever, I can see if they really are. lol It might end up causing some problems, but it'd be really nifty for awhile!

5.) Tell me a story about chinese food. Chinese food. lmao When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter, me and a group of friends went to this Chinese buffet place to eat lunch. My fiance' dared my best friend to eat an oyster. She didn't realize you wasn't supposed to chew the oyster. lol She took a big ol' bite out of it & took of running to the bathroom and puked all over the bathroom. It wasn't super funny at the time, but we all crack up about it now. lol

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would want to be able to manipulate time. This way if I had three hours of work I needed to do but only an hour of time - ZAP! - time is slowed down so I can get it all done. I really don't feel like being at work? ZAP! Speed time up so I can go home. And then I could get a whole 8 hours worth of sleep in an hour, so I barely have to sleep at night. It would be perfect.

3.) What is the strangest food you've ever consumed? I once tried rattle snake jerky. It was actually quite good.

I would like his playfulness so he would get a chance to begin with but it wouldn't last. Do Lucius because I can see him being one kinky freak and fantastic in bed. Date Severus because I think he'd be an interesting person once you got him to open up and talk a bit. Not to mention we'd both be able to sit together and make fun of all the people we didn't like.
5.) Tell me a story about chinese food. My husband and I took my little sister out for Chinese for her 20th birthday and then went to a carnival afterwards. I thought we waited more than long enough so that I wouldn't get sick from being on the rides, but we went on those swings and about a minute into I puked in a perfect circle around the ride. I was both incredibly embarrassed and so amused because people were running away screaming because they thought they'd get puke on them. Heh.

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? The ability to make pants dissappear in a single twitch. No just any type of clothing. Just pants. And no undertypes, neither. Just pants.

Candy Bars? uh I dunno...what's lightest. Falling products from the sky? Sounds more painful than delicious. Definitely not "Almond Joy"...those little knots would leave welts.

Depends on what you mean by strange. I've eaten an ostrich burger before. Buffalo too. But they didn't taste weird. They were just burgers. However, the curse of going to an art university was dating many vegetarian girls. So I've had tofu and soy versions of anything imaginable...and some of that tasted freaky.

Date Narcissa...she'd be the most fuctional of all of them.
Do McGonagle...just on the bet (or hope) that she has a freaky side with all of that pent up energy

I have a friend, born in Korea, but lived most of her life in the U.S. She's terrified of Chinese restaurants, because everytime she goes to one, they try to speak Chinese to her. 1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Oh man this is tough! I'd love Buffy's overall strength/speed/agility...but I think the most useful thing would be to Apparate/Orb/Teleport (whatver you want to call it! lol).

When I was in Toronto 2 years(?) ago, my friends Meghan and Suzanne (sisters) were eating a bag of Ketchup flavored chips. You could actually SMELL the Ketchup, they made me try one. I don't know why I did, I've NEVER been a fan of Ketchup. Ugh. It was pretty icky. They loved them though. I'm not even sure where they got them. I've never seen them in a store around here...

Ummm....not a very exciting story, but when we were in High School my friend Lauren and I would sometimes spend like 3 days at her house, watching movies in her basement, and hanging out by her pool. One night we were out at the pool and my dad surprised us with a large side of chinese chicken fingers (our favorite!) so we chowed on chicken fingers and swam. It was fun. It's a nice memory because lately it seems like I have to jump through hoops for my dad to remember something about me lol. And back then he remembered a favorite food that I shared with someone else. Ahhh well.

Walking through walls would be pretty cool. It also wouldn't hurt when I occasionally smack them. So a bonus all around really. Or I would fly, because who wouldn't want to randomly just do a flip in mid air? And escape from traffic? Pretty spiffy.

Anything my crazy grandmother tries to give us. Really cottage cheese and blueberries are horrible, as is greek stew with a dash of...her insanity. I once made hot chocolate using Nutella once though. Added a lot of random other things to it and me and my roommate tried to feed it to our RA. It didn't taste, smell, or look good. At all.

5.) Tell me a story about chinese food. Will Vietnamese food work? I went to a Vietnamese restaurant last week and got the yummy vermicelli bowl (grilled chicken - it said on the menu). When they brought the food out the guy picked up the bowl and said "Pigeon?" and we all looked at each other like "None of us ordered Pigeon..." so someone asked if it was the Chicken, and the guy says "We don't serve Chicken here, only Pigeon." I'm not sure if he was joking (it didn't quite seem like it but maybe he was just trying to mess with us), but we ate it anyways. Then about halfway through my meal I found a hair. The guy took my food away and then came back saying "We all have short hair in the back and besides that hair was too light." It was definitely too dark to be mine, if it was mine I wouldn't have complained. I got my money back for my food, so all ended up well (and I didn't get sick from eating "Pigeon" so that's good).

1.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be?I want to apparate. I don't drive and it'd be great to go places that the train doesn't reach without getting a ride. I would like to drive but that isn't an affordable option right now.
2.) OMG! Its raining candy bars! What kind are they? Mallocups and Nestle Turkish Delight bars. Mmmm. Mallocups are like peanut butter cups but the chocolate has toasted coconut in it and the center is marshmallow creme. So good. And there is a card in each pack with points on it. You can get 5, 10, and up to like 50 points I think and you can mail them in for prizes. I got nestle turkish delight bars when I was in Toronto three years ago and so I bought like five to bring home, but they were gone halfway home. Convenient that it rains my favorite candy bars, no?
3.) What is the strangest food you've ever consumed?Um, I'm not sure. Maybe I'm blocking it from memory. Tuna casserole I guess. I don't like fish or seafood or any of that. I don't know why. My mom made tuna noodle casserole when I was 9 I think and I refused to taste it because it smelled like pond scum to me and would therefore taste like ass. I tasted it and had to run for the bathroom to quickly let it vacate my mouth. Fun.

5.) Tell me a story about chinese food. Okay. One time when I was 14 or 15ish my friend and I went to the mall to hang out and afterwards her mom took us and her little sister to a chinese buffet. Her mom ate some crab and we took a claw that we kept opening and closing and we called him Herbert. He was precious to us. We wrapped him in a napkin to keep him safe. Then we took her little sister to the bathroom. When we returned the table had been cleared. We panicked. We looked at her mom in shock. "You let them take Herbert?! Our baby!" Her mom laughed alot that afternoon. So did her sister. When we got to the van we piled in, the two of us mourning his death. We told her mom he was probably going to die rotting in a garbage pit. Her mom looked at us while laughing and said "Have you two been doing something that starts with 'p' and ends with 'ot'?" Good times.
