Harry Potter VII title released!
Dec. 21st, 2006 02:39 pmJK Rowling has announced the title to Book Seven at last, and she has a little scavenger hunt going on her site to find it. Very exciting stuff! It can be found at her official site.
1. Click the eraser in the center of the desk.
2. Click the center of the open door in the reflection of the hallway in the mirror. A Christmas tree should appear.
3. Click the center of the large door next to the mirror. A wreath will appear.
4. Click the reflection of the ceiling in the mirror. A garland appears.
5. Click the cobweb at the top right corner of the door. It will disappear.
6. Check out the windchime in the window. Click and hold down the second chime from the right. It turns into a key, which opens the door.
7. Click the wrapped present behind the door twice, and play a game of hangman to figure out the title.
The title of the seventh Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time containing myself over this one. Dark tones appear to be at a premium this time around, and really, what else could you expect?

not impressed!
What? I looked at it and went, "*laugh* Whaaa-at?? That's so dumb!" (I'm sure I could have come up with something more creative had I just not been so.... (I'm going to coin my own term here) "dumb-shocked".
I'm just not really that impressed, and I don't know why. I mean, the titles of all the books had me immediately guessing. "The Deathly Hallows" didn't really do that for me. All I can invision is Harry making a raid on Death Eater HQ. I mean, think about it. The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, and The Half-Blood Prince. They all had a direct tie in with the plot (and often) climax of the book. Will this title have the same? Perhaps, but, I find myself highly doubtful.
*shrug*
