Oh hell no. We got much more than that, in the SPEW Debate (http://community.livejournal.com/hh_clubs/90564.html) alone. I know. I totaled up the participation points myself. Slytherin had not only over 250, but we beat out all the other competition. Who can I speak to on this?

It's possible that not all the posts were valid, or the points did not get turned in. Most likely, you should talk to the Debate Club Leader, or one of the clubs mods.

That's most likely what happened. Points are supposed to be in two days before the end of the month, otherwise they count for the next month. Because February was short, I think there was a bit of leniency (could be turned in by the 28th), but to end on the second - those are definitely March points. :)

That's exactly right; we were trying to get the points done since it was already so late when we posted anyway, and so the SPEW debate points -- since they weren't tallied and it would have taken a loooong time -- will be included in next month's. :) Sorry to worry you!

(huffs) I've got to protest here. Slytherin's at such a huge disadvantage in the points department because we have so few people, and Hufflepuff always whips everyone because they have so many. That's seriously unfair to everyone. Slytherin shouldn't have to bust scale and still slide in way last.

I completely agree. We've brought this up in Officials but there's been so much splitting hairs over the situation that it's nearly impossible for us to come up with a solution -- perhaps bringing it to the community as a whole would be way more productive? It's everyone's community and points, not just the Officials!! :)

I personally know I work my bum off and it's sad to see Slytherin still creeping along as though it's nothing at all!

I know I'm working on an essay to re-define Slytherin, since I see at least part of the problem landing in the Sorting Community... (shrugs) But I'm not a Mod. I can only push where I think it needs pushing, and hope I'm not missing anything. As far as I can tell, Slytherin gets people who are "evil" or who annoy people, and Hufflepuff gets everyone that's not very obviously strong in any single House. There's probably some tie-in issues with Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Sortings that I haven't noticed as well. How you fix those problems when a lot of it comes in deeply rooted from reading the books (which have a non-objective viewpoint), I can only speculate.
