Participation = points. It's fun, it's easy, and we're brand-new. Starting fresh and clean, no strings attached! Pre-existing characters allowed, and if you're not new to the RPG scene, we're allowing two starter characters! :) We'll be taking applications for the rest of the week before opening gameplay, so don't worry about being behind on anything. You can even reserve your PB (Played-By)/Body Model now, to ensure that you nab who you'd like! We'll hold initial requests for a week.
Don't be overwhelmed by the amount of rules -- there are a lot, but most are common sense. We wanted everything laid out in cut-and-dry detail!

hh_sugarquill - Challenges moving to monthly instead of weekly! We're hoping that this means we'll get more entries for the challenges themselves.
hh_stamping - The Stamping community is doing amazing! I hope that all of you who have been stamped have been pleased with your result! Maybe we could host a poll to find out how accurate they've been? ;) I know that it's loads of fun to read the votes that go into detail, and a lot of members seem to have bonded a bit over the whole process! I highly suggest checking it out if you haven't already -- and if you need to buy a wand/cauldron/etc...
hh_diagon has been revamped! Take a looksee if you haven't already.

What exactly ARE Body Models? I read over that a couple of times and am still not quite sure what that's all about.
Do characters have to be in the same house as the player? Can you play a character of the opposite sex?
Sorry for all the questions, again, but I really didn't pick up much from what I read in the information page. ^^;

Body Models are photographic representations of your character. :) For example, we'll be using Alan Rickman for Snape's Body Model! For an example of the gist, you can look at my own RP journal --
Annnd your character can be any sex, any age, any house. :) Go wild!

i'm kind of a nut about details, but 2005 won't be year 7 in the world of HP/Hogwarts. year 7 is 1996-1997. so... it should be september 1996 if you wanted to have the game coincide with the books. which i'm assuming is the point since it's an RPG, but yah. i don't know how strongly you want to stick to the years according to the lexicon/the year Harry was actually born in the books.
just thought i'd point it out!

and i hate to be the person who points out all the bad stuff (i swear i really like the comm and the new RPG!), but that layout = demonic in my browser. i know you guys use it for other things and it works in firefox, but i don't use firefox ever (except for government stuff where they require it).
