Is there any significance to your new username, or is it just something you pulled out of a hat because of the new lj stuff?


I ask because I was weirded out by all the names I didn't recognize in the posting access list at hh_flourish, and some of the new names are pretty cool.

It is! From the moment I first saw the movie, I wanted to see the musical. So now, I've seen the musical, own the movie (special two-disk set), read the book, and own both the two cd set of the musical soundtrack (the original with Sarah Brightman) and the movie soundtrack.

Oooh oooh, you should try to get your hands on a copy of Phantom, by Susan Kay. It can be expensive, but if you're lucky you can find a copy floating around online. It's basically a published fanfic, detailing Erik's life... It's so good. :)

Indeed I have.
I used to be _crashed_cars_, I am now orangebaroness, courtesy of a free rename token.

The first part is significant because I like the color orange (lol), and since this picture (http://myspace-755.vo.llnwd.net/00405/55/70/405040755_l.jpg) my boyfriend has called me a "cute orange woman", lol.

The second part.. my boyfriend's screen name begins with Baron.. so everyone calls him Baron.. and uh.. I guess baroness just made sense? =)

Headgryffindor came about when I joined a rpg that no longer exists (*sniff*).
I always knew that I was a Gryffindor, and I thought that I didn't belong in Hufflepuff, because I'm not hardworking (though I am extremely loyal).

*bounces* Ooh, ooh, me too! Mostly. I discovered that "kerista" used to be this really creepy cult in California at the same time I started my livejournal. I was all "ew, no way!" and tweaked my name a bit. But I've been "kerista" or a variation thereof online for eight years, also.

Also, I lack imagination. My journalfen count 'misskeriface' is the most creative I've ever gotten outside of my webdomain and email, which I give to my parents, so it HAD to be really different.

(honestly...I googled my name the other day and got over 30,000 hits for my "real" name, but when I googled the name I prefer to use, only two hits came up, and they were both me. i like that)

Also, my email is 'unreliablenarrator' and it's always funny when people don't recognize that it's a literary narrative style.

I changed my name from __cursedtears to slowtrain. It comes from the song Call off the Search by Kate Meluah. Partucularly the line my life is just a slow train crawling up a hill.

When I was thinking of possible usernames I just turned on my music and took inspiration from my favourite lines of my favourite songs.

My name is still the same. But I thought you all might find it interesting how I came up with the name. First, the name is one I use for one of my live action roleplaying games. She's a humanoid, hawklike character. Really cool. It's actually made up of different parts of speech and what they mean. Technically, the meaning is hunter, to search for truth. So for my one sigtag, we put it together as hunter for truth. This actually works really well for my character because at some point I hope that is what she ends up doing. Anyway, I thought I'd share.

Magnitude9 I suppose is rather obvious with the fact its an earthquake measurement, but I actually got it from a Progressive Metal band Magnitude Nine (which is my fave music genre). I like the band, and I liked the fact its band name is reflective of an earthquake measurement so I thought it was cool to have it have those couple of meanings. I thought it made a great name. I also have an interest in natural disasters, and sometimes I feel like a giant earthquake about to be set off. :P
