Okay.. as there has been confusion and aggravation over our new Knuts-to-Points system, let's clarify and poll, shall we? :)

Technically, it is "Buying Points". But you earn your knuts just the same as you earn your points, and they are even harder to earn. Limited activities offer knuts as incentive, while nearly all of our activities offer points. We felt this was a good alternative for those that had knuts simply sitting in the vaults going to waste -- it was an option offered to convert those EARNED knuts into EARNED points. It isn't as though we have Draco Malfoys that come standard with a vautl full of knuts. ;) Everyone has the same opportunity to convert their knuts, it is not unfair in any way whatsoever. It isn't canon, no -- but this is a Live Journal community. It also isn't canon for your peers to sort you.

But, as it is, having explained this fully, you have the final say.

Hi everyone...few things to start out with:

1. Don't forget the sig tag regulations. They are posted in the Flourish rules as: Sigtags for use in hogwartsishome and it's subsidiaries must have dimensions adding up to no more than 470 pixels total with a maximum file size of 70k. In the HiH rules they are listed as 300x170px and 40k. Either is fine...but PLEASE don't don't go over this. It makes load time for dial up users hell.

2. Winners for the three Hogsmeade challenges are: fujiidom and larien_shadow for the minific contest. They both won because they were the only two that entered. The new user icon was made by: thespyglass and will be put into the user info shortly. The winner of the counting game, with a perfect guess of 466 is lunastrings.


3. The winners of the Sorting Song are:

I'd like to remind people that participation is a good thing. House points are not gained on winning alone, but on participation...and you can't win if you don't participate.

Hogsmeade participation has gone down a lot recently. This is the one place were everyone can gather to trade info, quizes, memes, and everything else you can think of. Don't think that the participation means nothing. You get banners...and the more banners you have and can show me at the end of the term means the more points you can potentially earn for your house.

With that...the hogsmeade banner for the last Hogsmeade will be posted by the end of the week.
