Hey! [livejournal.com profile] hogwartsishome is the main community of a much larger sorting community. To participate (and we encourage you to think about applying!), you need to be sorted at [livejournal.com profile] platform_934. And I definitely recommend reading the new Harry Potter book -- it's great!

Thanks!

I highly reccommend the books!! The movies leave a lot to be desired. ;)

Laura means that to participate here, as in making posts and commenting, you need to follow our rules and be sorted. I hope you take up the offer below -- we always love having new members!

Oh, you got to catch up a bit then, because here you'll definitely hear and see things related to the last book, or rather all books. For example, you'll see icons related to HBP. Also, the movies left out certain bits and pieces which weren't necessary for the main plot, or which could be shortened.

HBP= Half Blood Prince.
She means to start talking on this community, you have to be "sorted." Come to my journal if you want, and I will help you? :)

You have to be sorted into a house, just like in the HP series, before they'll let you be official here. It's wicked cool!

I was really mean to my Hub about the book. I kept giving him teaser spoilers and looking over his shoulder at random points and saying, "OOOOH !!! you'll LOVE this part!"

lol wow.. you really need to read the books, I honestly am suprised that there are people who are only fans of the movies, I've actually been a tad dissapointed in the first 3 movies, but I am so looking forward to Goblet of Fire.

its not so much that you haven't read them that suprises me, its that you are a "Harry Potter fan" who hasn't read them. I mean I hadn't read the books until a couple of months ago.. then I read all of them, but I don't think that the movies are worty of being a "fan" of.. or at least not the first 3; we'll see about the 4th.

watched the first 2 movies before reading the books and the third movie after (or at least after reading the first 3 books).

I will say that I thought they were alright. Mostly I read the books out of strong recommendations from my friends.

I most certainly did, I am an avid Firefly fan and Serenity was so awesome!

I borrowed the Firefly DVDs from a co-worker about 4 months ago (after being told be a friend for over 2 years to watch the show). Watched the entire series (14 episodes, 13 at 45 min, and 1 pilot at 90 min) over the course of a weekend. At which point I waited very anxiousley for Serenity to come out. I then went to go see the movie when it came out on Friday, dressed in character as Capt. Malcolm Reynolds; I get a tad obsessive with my fandoms.

Oh I'm so going to the movies on the 18th! I have had this planned since I heard! I'm going after school though, cause my mom would be like you have school in the morning, and I can't skip so..no midnight showing for me. :(

P.S.

I <3 the movies!!! :o you really should read the books if you want the full experience! I mean they give so much more detail. J.K. Rowling has an amazing imagination and a knack for writing!
