Reminders


You must be a member here, at hogwartsishome, to be a member of your common room or any of the other subsidiary communities. A few of the Prefects/Co-Prefects have already deleted membership of common rooms for this reason. If you wish to be readded, simply join HiH, then rejoin you common rooms. We will begin going through the other communities shortly to weed these members out.

The Probation/Deletion Rules -- as taken from The HiH FAQ

We keep track of our participants each month.
If we see that you have not participated in at least one point-earning activity during the month -- even something so small as voting on ten applications (minimum) -- you will be sent to 'detention'. This simply means that you'll receive a warning from hh_filch and be on probation -- you must participate in at least two point earning activities the next month!
If we see that you have not participated the next month after being 'sent to detention,' you will be put onto our "Or Worse, Expelled" list. You'll be warned and be put on probation for both months combined (therefore requiring you to participate in at least four point-earning activities) but you will not be banned. Yet.
If we see that after your second warning you still do not participate during the third month, you will be officially Azkaban-ned. You will be taken from the list and banned from the community. You may only come back under a condition of the Dementor's Kiss, which is extended probation -- three point earning activities for two consecutive months. If you fail, you will not be allowed back into the community.

Please sign your name to your post no matter where it is if you expect to earn points! We will not go looking for your house, we will simply move on and go to the next entry. Please, if you forget to sign, delete your original comment and repost -- it will not bother any of us in the least, as most contest posts have the 'Do not email comments' feature checked. :)

Along those same lines, please remember to sign using your LJ USERNAME to all posts made with a character journal at hihnow_playing. It's difficult on our NP mod to find the proper person to award points and knuts to. ;) In the future, any posts not signed this way will not be counted

Please remember that you are not to be rude, condescending, or attacking of members in your votes; we had many incidents of that this month, and we will soon resort to simply taking points -- the warnings aren't fazing some of our members. Please -- if you disagree with something, then you're entitled to say so. But DO NOT badtalk an applicant's opinions when they aren't allowed to defend themselves.

Quick question regarding knuts. I thought we received 15 knuts if we sorted all the applications for the week. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.
But I sorted all the applications for the week of August 21st here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/gryff_lions/221410.html) and I thought there was another week but I can't seem to locate it. Anyway, I only received 5 knuts. *looks sad* I dunno if those five were from something else I did that earned knuts or what. Anyway, don't want to be a bother, but just thought I'd ask.

I've already explained this to a few people in the common room, but sorting knuts/points were only done through the week of August 14th (stamped on the 21st). That means that the week of the 21st and after will be on September point totals.

You only get knuts when you are top voter (vote on all applications) for a particular week. Just voting a few times will only get your house points.

You can deposit now. Just go to hh_diagon, scroll down to the Gringotts post, and follow the directions.

You need to link back to this post. And, you have to deposit before the month ends. It's only updated on certain days, but you can deposit whenever.
