Have been reading reports in the Evening Standard on the way home (London and surrounds' international evening newspaper). The pictures are horrific.
I feel so useless, sitting here - if I donate to a charity, so little will go to the people actually affected and really help them, but I want to help in some way *is frustrated*
All I can say is to follow the advice here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/psychic_serpent/77051.html?nc=4) and call a public insurance adjustor and NOT your insurance company direct. As she says, "To contact your insurance company without going through a public adjustor is like going to court without an attorney."
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all those affected by Katrina.
I don't know Bunny so I had no idea she lived in the area - thankfully she's alright. It must be horrible having to live with all of that. Hurricanes look so terifying that I can't even contemplate what it'd be like. Thanks for letting us know that she's OK!
