Hi everyone, I'm just updating this to ask yall to keep us in your thoughts! I'm from New Orleans, but currently in Houston, Texas. Thankfully I have an Aunt and Uncle who live here. New Orleans is going to get it pretty bad, as I'm sure yall know. We're not even sure we'll have homes to go back to. So please please please, if anyone lives in any neighboring states, just help out as much as possible, I know there's people still trying to evacuate. And thanks to those who are helping, it means a lot. I'll try to keep yall updated, if you'd like, because I'm sure some of yall have friends down here too.

I'm in Houston, TX too... I've got loads of family in LA, so I'm worried as well. My door's open to anyone really. If they need a place to stay or just something to eat. Not that they can see this. :(

Where are you from? I'm originally from Belle Chasse, but my family moved to Houston, and I live in Hammond now (and go to Southeastern).

At this point, we tried to go to Houston but got stuck in the Contraflow going north to Jackson on 55 (since that's where we live), so we ended up with family in Monroe.

I'm from Metaire. =) We lucked out and left at 2 in the morning, so we beat all the traffic to Houston(thank god). I hope yall are okay as well!

my dad used to have an apartment in Metarie, anyways, don't have any family in LA anymore, but my thoughts and prayers go out to those who are there and those who do have relatives there.

I'm from Houston. I lived there for most of my life. I feel so horrible about the travesty that was the hurricane and I hope everything works out for you. *hugs tightly*
