I know there are some Buffy fan's in the group. I'm just curious on your opinions. :D

Yes, it sounds arrogant, but that's the classic Joss Whedon humor. And ego or no, I would LOVE to see a Joss-directed HP film.

There's nothing wrong with expressing a dissenting opinion, so long as you accept that others may disagree with you and state their own opinions. I love Joss, I happen to think he's a genius. I do, however, understand and accept that not everyone shares that opinion.

Definitely see Serenity because the movie is amazing. It was amazing before they added in all the effects and final score and I can't wait to see the finished product.

And FWIW, the arrogant "wait for the call" comment was most likely a joke.

I think that he would be a great director for the HP movies. I think that he'd set things right and not have the disaster that was POA.

I think it'd be interesting. I personally love Joss, but I they were talking about him directing and I always see him as more of the writer. Don't get me wrong though - love when he directs but a great director is also dependent on a great team - which joss also usually manages to find.

so yeah, it'd be cool ;D

I think it'd be pretty good. He's a real team player. From the sounds of it, he would most likely keep the movie plot line close to the book.

As a big fan of the Buffy and Angel tv shows, Joss directing an HP movie would really be different. I personally would love to see it because Joss is a fantastic director, not to mention writer! He sees things differently than other people do and has got a great imagination. The fact he admits to reading the books themselves should say something for Potter fans.

When she's done, I'll go back and watch them and wait for the call to direct number seven.

That's what I thought.

I thought that it would be a plus that he reads the books and refuses to watch a movie until he's read all of them. I bet that means he would keep a movie close to the book plot line.

Exactly, for anyone who has watched interviews with Joss, it is well understood the tone and motivation behind what he said there. There are just some instances where text just doesn't quite cut it as a replacement for spoken words.
