As we've been seeing it more and more lately, Muggle voting is only used for House Pushing.

If you happen to think an applicant is house bashing, using incorrect grammar, or if you can't get a read on the person, then you need to use No Vote.

Please do not mix these two votes up. They mean completely different things when tallying the votes.

Thank you,

Juppy

...just a voice from the peanut gallery, but I think house-bashing is worse than pushing...

Yeah, I agree. Pushing is annoying but house bashing is an outright insult

Copy/Pasting what I replied to someone below:

If you see someone house-bashing and an official hasn't stepped in and asked them to edit, then just let us know; it does get them into trouble and they won't be stamped until the application has been edited to take out the bashing. :)

Hi, I was wondering whether we get 1pt for voting even when we give out a "no vote". Because, technically we read the app and voted, so do we still get a point for our house? What about "muggle" votes?

No votes do count, I'm uninformed about the muggling.

Muggle votes count too.

Does No vote count against someone, or does it just count as us not voting?

It seems like house-bashing would get you into more trouble than pushing.

And a No Vote is just like voting for a house... if someone's application garners more No Vote's than anything else, they have to elaborate to be sorted. :)

To add to what Bunny said, we still allow them to re-apply whether when they end up getting a majority of Muggle votes. We are not an elite community and a muggle vote doesn't mean someone can never be a member. It just means they will have to re-apply with a non-pushy app.
