Dear HIH community,

I just want to offer my sincere apologies for the problems with the no spoiler banners.
I had no idea so many people would want to use them. I am also far from being a computer whiz and don't actually know much about bandwidth etc. I have been really sick the last few days so I wasn't online much and then, yesterday morning (Australian time), when the bandwidth actually ran out. I was in hospital.
I passed out in my bathroom yesterday, and when I fell I hit my head on the bath. I managed to call out to my partner when I woke up and she called an ambulance. In hospital I got a gash in my chin sewn up (6 stitches), and had xrays of my skull and spine taken (all clear, thank God), and blood tests and the like.
Can I just say a huge thank you to everyone who commented and said that they liked them - it was really nice of you. Also, alexthedevil volunteered to host the images on her web space which was just such a lovely thing to do.
To the few people who were disappointed enough to say mean things to me about not having the images available, I hope that now you know where I've been you might be a bit more understanding.
I'm still really sick so I don't know how much I'll be around for the next few days, I just wanted to pop by and let you all know what had happened there, and ask you to forgive me.

As for the banners, when the bandwidth ran out I came to check your journal to see what was up, and figured they'd just been hugely popular. They're wonderful banners, so don't worry about it at all. Thank you for making them!

As for the banners, well, really, shouldn't people be saving them to their own webspace? Hotlinking is a big enough no-no that you'd think people would know what not to do...

Good luck with everything, hope you get better quick! I loved the banner and instead of hotlinking it, DL'd it myself and put it on my desktop. People who hotlink are dumb.

Huuuuge get-well hugs -- and as for the people who bitched about your banners (which are excellent, btw), SHAME ON THEM! As others have said, they shouldn't have hotlinked. I'm a novice when it comes to the net and stuff, but I'd have asked someone else to host it if I'd used one...
