REMOVE THIS COMM FROM YOUR FRIENDS PAGE ASAP!!!!!

Someone posted a spoiler in the comm, with no lj-cut. And of course the mod of that comm is away and won't be around to handle the situation, even though the mod said no spoilers.

When I posted about how pissed I was in my personal lj, jupluna said it was a hoax, but the person who made the post in hogwarts_grads said it was real in the comments.

I just wanted to let everyone in here who MIGHT be a member of the comm to remove it from their freinds page before they get the moment ruined like I did. :(

It's real. Just a head's up. So far as anything goes, it's a confirmed spoiler, since they recieved a C&D for it. So definately remove the comm from your friends page, or simply avoid your Fpage.

Another ass also posted it to found_objects and a bunch of other places. It's all over livejournal, my recommendation is that people stay away from all comms that aren't moderated until they've finished the book.

What kills me is that the mod of hogwarts_grads didn't take ANY precautions against this type of thing before she went off to have her baby. No temp mod, no moderated post. Just a "behave everyone" post till she gets back.

I left that comm, and HIGHLY doubt I'll be rejoining it when she returns.

Amazon shipped some out early. Some people work in libraries. Some people work in small bookstores.. but a lot of it is Amazon shipping things early. I'm about to murder a friend for his copy, which he refuses to open until Saturday.

Well, and I read in a UK newspaper on my plane into London (to transfer to yet another flight - will sadly not be there for HBP release) that it was accidentally put on the shelf last Thursday in Coquitlam, BC, and 14 copies were sold before anyone caught on. The article also added that the publishers got court orders preventing the buyers from not only not telling anyone about the book, but to not read it either until the 16th (!!).

::bites fingernails:: I don't know - I highly doubt that I'd be able to hold out for more than a week like that...

It could easily have been an edit. If someone really wanted to spoil it, wouldn't they have made a website or gone to the papers? I know people who have realistically photoedited salutes, signs, lots of things. It's not hard. They could have just taken that page out of the 5th book and wrote stuff.

If they would have made a website or something, they could have been sued. That was all the gag order stuff J.K. put out was. It is also copyright infringement. They could have been in big trouble for it.
I am seriously hoping that it isn't real, and that it was photoshopped. It would no tbe that hard.
