And could someone possibly explain why it now says Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw on the schedule (http://www.angelfire.com/magic2/hhcontests/quidditchschedule.html)?
'Cause I sure didn't know we were playing tonight...
If no notice was given to the Ravenclaw team, shouldn't the match be postponed until everyone is informed? Seems like this is a pretty last minute decision, and it's hardly fair unless everyone is given reasonable notice.
Yeah, but that doesn't mean us Ravenclaws have to be shoved into their position, right? Especially because of the lack of notification. I didn't even know about it until ciara_belle brought it up. I'm quite sure some of our teammates aren't aware either. And we don't even know what time it'll be held!
So many questions! ;)
And I have to thank and agree with pfc_rat. There is no way anyone of us can play with such little knowledge of the match. =\
I hope I didn't come off snippy or anything, if it did it was unintentional, and it wasn't directed towards you. Haha... now if you'll excuse me, I'M going to bed. (*grins* Hermione in SS!) I hope this all gets worked out soon. :)
I get the impression that because there is no Slytherin team as of yet, and because the Hufflepuff team is incomplete, that the schedule has been re-arranged. However, if this is the case, there should have been an announcement in the main forum, the common rooms, and on the Quidditch community. As it stands, I can't sit in front of the computer for the rest of the day and evening just hoping that somebody will mention a game time.
Also, if none of the Ravenclaw team were informed of the change, then the match should definitely be postponed for a few days until everyone is aware of the date/time of the match.
Don't get me wrong, I want to win, but I want to win fair, and this is not the way to do it.

You're correct, and I admit that there has been made a mistake by not letting the other students know of the re-arranged schedule.
I think the Officials are right now just as confused as everybody else, but as soon as we have worked out how to solve the problem (currently it looks like we're just going to postpone all matches anyway ) we're going to let everybody know of any changes through the main community :)
We're figuring out the situation with the officials right now. As it stands, it looks like it'll be postponed. There was talk of switching the Ravenclaw and the Slytherin's schedule, which is why Bunny must have switched the dates on the website. However, as you noticed, it was never cleared with the Ravenclaws, so we wouldn't spring that on you now. We'll keep you posted, and thanks for your patience.

Date: 2004-12-06 10:50 pm (UTC)but as far as I can tell it looks as though all quidditch dates will be re-scheduled (first match on december 13th).
I suppose that'll give us enough time to work things out and get all teams and quidditch questions ready :)
