A TWT Update...

Dear Triwizard communities:

The heads all discussed the problem with everyone unable to participate for various reasons and came up with a solution we think you'll all like. Since we aren't, after all, able to run things just like in the books anyway, we decided: why not have a different champion for every challenge?

The way it will work is that each contest/Task will be posted to the full community in all three communities. Any community member is welcome to answer the challenge; the head of your community will then pick his/her favorite entry to be the Champion's entry for that contest. One of us will then post the entries to our Judges' comm for votes from the six other judges (in the event of a tie, the heads will also vote).

With that in mind, here is our revised schedule. As you can see, it will go on a bit longer, but it's also a much more leisurely pace.

August 1st, 12:00 AM EST - First game begins (timed challenge)
August 2nd, 12:00 PM EST - First game ends, second begins
August 5th, 12:00 PM EST - Second ends, third begins
August 8th, 12:00 PM EST - Third ends, fourth begins
August 11th, 12:00 PM EST - Fourth ends, fifth opens
August 14th, 12:00 PM EST - Fifth ends, Yule Ball begins**
August 16th, 12:00 PM EST - Sixth opens
August 19th, 12:00 PM EST - Sixth closes, seventh opens
August 22th, 12:00 PM EST - seventh ends, eighth opens
August 25th, 12:00 PM EST - eighth ends, ninth opens
August 28th, 12:00 PM EST - ninth ends, tenth begins
Sept. 1st, 12:00 PM EST - close of final contest

** = The Yule Ball will be an event that involves our RPG communities!! :) If you haven't joined in the fun yet, then definitely head on over to hihnow_playing -- we're a huge family and we always love new people joining!! Drama, romance, and danger awaits.

In short, the Tasks will be like contests. You'll enter them just like always, no strings attached. The best will be chosen to move on to the 'next round', so to speak. :) I will also award points for these, as we do for regular contests. There will be no other community contests during this time -- wouldn't that be hectic?

Also, for those brave souls that did apply to be a champion, I am awarding your respective houses twenty points for your bravery. :) Congratulations!

Yes, anyone. The people that did apply to be champion will earn tweny points, though. :)
