I just got an e mail from adlibris, the book company I've ordered HBP from and they've already sent the book, which means I'm going to get it in two days!!!

I'm picking up my copy of HBP on Sat from the local Navy Exchange. Only paid US$16.49 for it *happy dance*

That's odd. The books aren't even supposed to be shipped until Friday, July 15th.

Well, if it were me, I would resist temptation to read because afterall, it's illegal but it'd be hard! Good luck! ^^

It'll be interesting to see if the book will actually get to you prior to the release date because the place you ordered from could be in a good deal of legal trouble if you do, indeed, get the book early.

Unless, of course, they're shipping it early in the expectation that the sheer volume of books going out (look at all the presale records it has broken) may give the postal service trouble and are trying to make sure people get the book on the 16th in the first place. Maybe, I don't know. In any case, if they get reported they could be in trouble.

If you do end up getting it early, enjoy it, and keep schtum ;)

Actually, I live in Sweden and have NEVER ever heard of such a law. Maybe it's not illegal here?

Heck, If I got the book early I wouldn't be returning it for an autograph, even if it were illegal.
