I just wanted to pimp The Order.

I'm not going to lie, it probably won't be as interesting as Quidditch captain or something of the sort. In the long run though, I think it will end up meaning a lot more. We need to promote the community somehow if we're going to make up for member losses and decline in applications, and I think the people that are deticated enough to give it a try really show their spirit for this community.

I think it will show unity between 9 great people. I think it will be interesting, to see 9 people from 4 houses made into one small group, striving for the same thing. Kind of like our own in-community Survivor ^-^

I'm really urging you guys to apply. It might be more fun than you think. I don't know what the Gryffies say about me, but I'm sure it's not that I'm boring =P

Give it a shot guys =] It'd be rather sad if I had to do it on my own... but hey, at least I could make myself a shiny icon or something of the sort ^-^

aw :( this community is really only the one I'm a part of in the livejournal community... or really any internet communities of any kind, so I didn't apply for the Order because I felt like as far as my spirit goes, my actual outreach is limited to the people already joined! But, if you need any help organizing or something that doesn't involve having connections to pimp our lovely community out to, I'm totally there :) But, if the Order is lacking in applications, let me know and I'll try and help despite my serious lack of connections :)

Well, I posted about hogwartsishome on my journal, and we seem to have gotten some applications from that... I'd like to help out, but I'm not sure I have time to do it in an official capacity; I have a pretty large friends list (1600+), but the one thing I don't have is a lot of spare time. Is there any other way I could help out?

Toting means carrying, or lugging around.

Even just offhand promoting throughout the communities you're in would help. Plus, there's other positions that need to be filled, and I'm sure that if you don't want such a large position, there's people needed to help those positions. You could always apply to be on the quidditch team, when those are up and running :-)

Yeah, for real--it's a holdover from before I moved "Movies in Fifteen Minutes" to its own journal. I'm sort of wary of promoting things in random communities--I could probably reach a lot more people (and tick them off less) by just writing in my own journal about the stuff we're doing at Hogwarts. There are a lot of iconmakers we could probably get interested, if nothing else. : )
