Below is the application for Tri-Wizard Tournament Champion; we'd like to get that out of the way before HBP comes out because that will make it easier for us to move forward with the planning. The applications will be due the 14th of July and we will attempt to announce the Champions on the 15th. We will be choosing one champion and one alternate from each community.
The Tournament will take place from August 7-20th. That is a space of two weeks.
Tentatively, there will be ten challenges, one of which will be a community-wide challenge. (Don't worry, we'll try to keep them fairly simple).
In addition, we are considering a "Yule Ball" which will be an RPG mixer between the three communities. Finally, the Champions will have three "lifelines" like in Who Wants to be a Millionaire which will be simple-answer questions that the entire community is invited to answer. For example, if the Champions were engaged in a debate, the Champion could ask the community "what date was the Magna Carta signed" but could not ask "I need ideas for how to argue this point!"
Unfortunately, to prevent conflict of interest, we decided that the champion may only belong to one of the three participating sorting communities.
